I had deleted the Assets and Movies folder from my game earlier but now I've managed to retrieve them. Is it possible to make the launcher detect these folders so that it doesn't download Main Assets 1 (11.6 GB) all over again?

31.5GB
31.5GB

be glad it downloads anything, EVERY TIME and i mean EVERY TIME the launcher has an update it FAILS to automatically update. no if and's or buts, this in turn put the launcher in endless crash and restart loop on the launcher.
To fix this I have to get the newest repair launcher. to fix this, never once have had issue with actual patches to the game it only the launcher updates that always failing. Not using ST launcher, maybe one year BW might fix there launcher update process so it actual works, been doing this on multiple computers and multiple reinstall of the game and OS.

@DBWoodynz I discovered that the assets_swtor_main_0to219 and assets_swtor_main_0to220 were residual folders from before the launcher being patched. Deleting them brought the game folder size down.
Another question:
I had deleted the "Assets" and "Movies" folder but I managed to retrieve them. Will simply placing them back in the game folder suffice or do I have to do something else? Can I force the launcher to perform a repair so that it detects these folders that I have placed back and checks if everything is fine?
@tsunami2311 you sound like you may have a firewall or anti-virus issue?

You need not just the Assets folder but also the assets_swtor_*.version files so that the launcher can recognize which version you have installed.
You can try getting the current version files from a friend, then after logging in hit the repair button so it downloads any missing Assets. But I wouldn't recommend that since it is easier to just redownload the whole game from the start.

@Raidell With a 512 kbps connection, I'm better off getting the files from a friend. Btw, won't my swtor version file do? Also, the repair option is greyed out for me. How do I force a repair?
