Outfit Designer Head Slot Glitch

Have you tried leaving the area you are in?  Try going to fleet or a strong hold if you own one.  Shut down the client completely and log back in.  See if that doesn't help.  Please post your results after.

Sorry, I don't have an actual solution, but I would try fiddling around by switching between displaying your normal outfit (with and without helmet) with the one in your outfit designer slot, adding/removing helmet from that too. I just have a gut feeling it's the sort of thing that could unmess this thing up :o

The glitch first manifested in Dalarran, at the time of the pic I had since left to Nar Shadaa, so it didn't just go away, and shutting down did nothing either sadly.

Have you tried swapping out your helmet with another one? This has happened in other scenarios for players who lack the head slot unlock/subscription. The lock is on the ability to toggle it on or off, so if you went F2P with your head slot hidden, you'd be locked into that.

This is the first time I've heard of a hidden head slot due to a cutscene though. Have you considered buying the head slot unlock from the GTN? 

Oh yes, I tried changing helmets, removing helmets, even dropping some credits on changing the 'overlap' helmet on the actual outfit tab itself. The result doesn't change, but oddly when I am not using the outfit designer the helmet I am wearing shows. It's pretty odd. Oh, and this character never had a subscription. I made him, I marathon'd to Balmorra, went to the next planet, and realized that my robot-voice throat thing was hidden.

I think in the long run it might be better for me to wait for someone on my RP server to decide to sell the hide head slot thing on the GTN. I just hope they don't make it 350001 credits to spite people :P

Side note: I have come to discover that for some reason, Unify Colors is also activated and I cannot turn it off. What did I do, my god? 

I have almost the same situation here. I first noticed on my Trooper. I thougth this was related to my former suscriber condition and that I had switched the "Hide Head" control by the time I changed to Preferred. But then it occured on another outfit slot on the same char, a new one created as a preferred status player. Now finally this behaviour has spread to a recently created outfit slot of my Smuggler. I'm pretty sure that if I buy the "Hide Head Slot" unlock this will "fix" the situation but then again this is more a walk-around than a real solution to what I believe it's a bug.

Same problem here too.  Also a freemium player after letting longstanding sub lapse.

Made new outfit profiles on two characters.  After switching between outfit profiles, the first character's NEW slot somehow acquired color matching... which I can't toggle off due to being freemium.  The second character's new outfit profile, after switching between outfit profiles, has now acquired hide helmet, which I also can't toggle off...  You want to know the really obnoxious thing?  NONE of the outfit profiles on that character had hidden helmets before.

No solutions found so far.  Can anyone confirm a working solution other than paying extra for bug fixes? 😛

EDIT:  Now the second character with the hidden helmet slot has acquired the same color correction on their boots as the FIRST character! *pull out hair*

Besides sub for one Month I can not really think of an solution., if it works correct.

It may be an small bug, try repairing the Game

Repair can only be used if the launcher detects errors.  It is currently grayed out.

Also, the data is stored server side, so there's no way to fix it without either paying $15 for a sub or buying $20 worth of cartel coins.  Would be nice if people who'd payed hundred of dollars in sub fees over the years were allowed to have technical support.
