Need to establish that the game not downloaded properly isnt the cause of this issue

Not sure why it hasnt finished downloading even after a file verification, it possibly could be a Antivirus thing , if so need to ensure launcher.exe, swtor.exe and brwc.exe are in the exception list for both the antivirus and firewall.

If you are open to install the game as non streaming per this link  this disables bitraider , it also mean the game has to be fully downloaded before being able to play

Either way at some point need to find a solution for why the game isnt fully installed

still having the same issue only it stalled out on downloading at 99.85 last night. I don't understand what's going on or why it won't fully download. It's been days now. I never had this issue before. I downloaded the game via origin on my laptop. I have a hard copy somewhere but I can't locate it.

You have switched to non streaming ? that is the same patcher as using disks

if non streaming and bitraider is disabled then try patching in safe mode with networking that way nothing should be interferring

How do I switch to non streaming? And what could be causing the game to not download fully? I uninstalled and reinstalled it and it's downloading now but what the heck is this minimum download thing on the bottom of the launcher?It was there the first time I tried this.

Husband installed ethernet cable on laptop. I uninstalled then reinstalled stwor. I launch and see this screencap. Apparently I have MORE to download but where, how and why? What is going on here? Why can't I play my sith Setira?

Check this link  for the streaming launcher , it will downlaod to a minimum point to allow play on the starter planets whilst the rest of the game downloads.

If the download doesnt correct with the link for at 0% above then maybe best to switch to non streaming as per this link  this is a new game download however the entire game needs to be downloaded before able to play.

ugh.. one step forward and two back.. The game is fully downloaded now BUT I still can't create a level one old republic character. It forces me into the level 65 eternal throne character creation screen and I can't find any way to change it to the original character creation with a level one. I need to find out how to just select the old republic level one creation option. Help!

I honestly would recommend changing to the non-streaming launcher.  It has less issues then the default streaming launcher.  The main difference is that Play button is grayed out until the patch is fully complete.

To change to it follow the below steps, but as I said you would honestly have less issues in general.  I use this version and don't have any issues with character creation:

NOTE this is almost complete download of the game again

right mouse click on game shortcut and select open file location

open the launcher.settings file in notepad and locate the below line and edit to the below

, "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"SSN\" }"
, "bitraider_disable": true

SAVE the changes.
Delete the BitRaider, Movie and Asset folders then start the launcher.

i would recommend to write an ingame ticket so the support can take a look at this as well, or call in if you are unable to write a ticket
