Re: Error c12?

This means that you are missing some files and the game is not installed correctly.

Close the game and go to the folder where you have SWTOR installed. Now delete the BitRaider folder, then start the launcher. The launcher will now check and repair all files, then you can play again.

If this didn't fix it, I recommend turning off the streaming launcher (BitRaider), then you will no longer have these problems. You will have to completely redownload the game for this (25 GB) but afterwards, you will no longer have these problems.

To turn off BitRaider, you have to do the following:

  1. Make sure both the game and the launcher are closed.
  2. Go to the folder where SWTOR is installed and find the "launcher.settings" file, right-click on it, go to "Open with..." and open it in a text editor like Notepad.
  3. Find the line
    • , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"BR\" }"
    and replace it with
    • , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"SSN\" }"
  4. Also find the line
    • , "bitraider_disable": false
    and replace it with
    • , "bitraider_disable": true
  5. Now save the file, close Notepad and start the launcher. It will now start downloading.
