    Okay - so recap.

My friends swtor username is: LordVaral
His e-mail address starts with: DarkSystem.....
He used to play on Progenitor server.
His account was banned around 2016 or so.

Any attempt to contact support of any kind took us nowhere. And we are trying to solve this for over 2 weeks now.

@EA_Kipling, @EA_Kat , could you please tell me what the next step should be? We would like to have his account un-banned again. It was not supposed to be banned, he has done nothing wrong.

He promised me he did not spam anybody. According to his own words - it was he who received a loads of spam during that time. But never passed them to anyone else.

    Thank you

sorry I am late to this @RonneAlderNurian

I had a look into the account and can see that the appeal mail went through on the 26th February. Your friend should've gotten a mail then which said to call our CS (we only have english, german and french support, sadly) to confirm ownership of the account. After that is done and he passed that he should be able to get his account back.

If you think that is too much hassle, I can see that your friends account is a F2P account, you might want to consider simply starting a new account.

Let me know if you need anything else 🙂  (I am not able to unlock the account, only our CS Team on the phone can do that!)

    Hello @EA_Kat,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, he is f2p but he was also ready to pay his subscription now 🙂 And as he told me he had saved some credits and owns some noce gear he does not want to lose.

So what you are saying is that we have to call cs again, have this account verified and all will be okay?

That's puzzling because we have done that already and the representative told us he is not able to do that because he was banned. Therefore some other people need to check if it is fine and his claim not to be "the bad guy" is justified...

@RonneAlderNurian yes, I can see the ticket that was opened when you called on the 26th February. The Advisor did escalate it up for review and on the same date you should've gotten another email saying to call us again to verify your account. The account was reviewed on the same day that is why this might be confusing.

So just call up, verify the account and then your friend should be good to go as well. If you run into more trouble, let me know over there 🙂

    Hello @EA_Kat !

12 Days ago, my account was suspended (15 days) for exactly the same reason as OP mentionned in his original post here : http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=945071

    "Unusual activity"

Email was more than vague, and CS didn't want to give me more details :/

I went through the same problem: Customer Service unable to help me and redirecting me to EA website, redirecting me itself to SWTOR CS.... I'm trying to get this sorted out but I think I literally tried everything, both EA and SWTOR keep telling me to contact the other one....

    What should I do ☹️

    (My username: Eylna)

You are my only hope :/

    Heya @Eylna

Customer Service is not really able to give you any more info than what was in your mail, I am afraid. Even I can not comment on this any further.

I believe your case and the one from OP are rather different as well. OP was fully banned, while you seem to have gotten a suspension.

How and why, I am not able to tell.

But look on the bright side, the 15 days are nearly over and you can soon get back into the game 🙂

    ~Kat

  • I think I am having a similar issue to the OP's friend.
My account has been banned permanently, for "credit selling" is what it said in the email. I have not been selling credits, nor directing people to any site that does. I am Guild Master for a guild with over 600 members, the last thing I want to do is disadvantage my guild mates by having myself banned or pay my subscription to "sell credits" on third party sites...
I'm not sure exactly what triggered the account to be banned, one minute I was having fun with friends in my Strong Hold, then next I was trying to log back into my account only to discover I had been sent an email, with "instructions".
I replied via the link in the email but after reading of other people having similar issues, I'm not putting great hope in this being resolved quickly that way.

I'd really appreciate it if you or someone on CS could look into this quickly,

    Thanks in advance.

  • Still no reply here or to my "appeal" email or to the in game ticket a friend put in about this issue.
Seems like CS is very limited for swtor...

    Thanks for the reply.

So, my only recourse is to await on a reply email, to the reply I sent using the email link provided?

It seems to me like it would be very unlikely that a 10 yr old account that is subscribed would be posting credit selling links, as was the apparent reason for my ban - which I have never done & have often reported similar offenses by actual credit sellers.

In the mean time, I'm losing subscription time I paid for, while the ToS team takes its time to review my case... I hope I'll be compensated for that with reimbursement of days lost.

  • Still waiting on a reply to the emails I've sent to the ToS team, yet I've had replies to emails I've sent to support [only to tell me I need to contact the ToS team].

Is there anyone even working at the ToS team right now?

I understand that it's going to take some time to investigate a case but to not reply & give just a quick " We are looking into your case" message, leaves me wondering if anything at all is being done.

I guess I should just go an play another MMO instead, taking my subscription $ elsewhere & the dozen or so friends & their subscription $ , that will want to follow me, with me...
