why the dxdiag show the below and cant find any trace is a conundrum

I didn't install my driver with Windows Update. I got it from the website. It was working fine at first.
I want to check before intalling "ANYTHING" else. Are you 100% sure this is the latest driver? I went to the Device Manager, and it said my driver was up to date.

Intel and Windows drivers are generic and not always 100% compatible especially with laptops
So if I install this driver, I'll have to install something else to prevent the one I have right now from being installed again. Does that mean the one I have is the latest?
What is interesting is they also list the below sound driver
IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver
this is what sttray64.exe belongs too, so it maybe worth installing their version of that driver as well.

If you look at the known issues sticky at the top of this forum , Latest intel drivers are causing issues
the 4300 driver that you have is the current generic release from intel , 4248 is the latest release from HP , they are 2 totally different driver releases.
The Intel 4300 is generic , the 4248 is released by HP specifically for that laptop.

Only worry about it if windows auto updates the driver , if it doesnt then all good , if it does, its why they released that kb article to show people how to hide them.
Well ,it doesn't. The only way drivers are updated on this computer is by going to the website and installing them. I'll check it out tomorrow.
I would do both the sound and video drivers from the HP website
that IDT sound driver I mentioned is the one appearing in the crash list in the dxdiag
It says "The currently installed versions of drivers is newer then what you are about to install." Is this update a downgrade or not?
That release maybe lower then you have now, but it is the latest release for that laptop, it doesn't mean the newer generic versions will be 100% ok, always use the manufactures drivers when troubleshooting issues

The new driver is actually even worse than the old one. Not only did the game still crash, but even if it didn't, the driver can't handle high graphics.
Did you do the sound driver ? that is related to the crash being listed in your crash logs
It said the audio driver was downloaded along wih it.
And you still cant access the details in the reliability monitor ?
Press the Windows key and try typing
perfmon /report
does this work ok ?

I found sttray64.exe in the Reliability Monitor! Now how do I get rid of it?
It belongs to your sound driver sttray64.exe belongs to IDT Audio from IDT, its the system tray icon for your sound.
Uninstall the driver and disable sound totally and see if the game stops crashing, then go from there.
What do you mean uninstall the driver and disable sound totally. Should I get the one from HP again? How do I even disable sound?
I've just been able to play the game! It only crashed when I tried to adjust shadows. I guess even my driver can't handle that. Not sure what to do about sttray64.exe though.
Yes use HPs driver provided for windows 10 for the sound card , you may be best talking to HP so they can look into why the sttray64.exe is actually crashing
