Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time
Copy the following in to the text box and press ok
%localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings
Cut the client_settings.ini file and paste to the desktop for now, when you launch again a fresh file will be auto created , see if you can adjust the gamma then.
once you know you don't need the old ini file on the desktop (game launches ok) , delete it.
