What antivirus and firewall are you using ?

eset - disable protocol filtering

kaperskey - disable scan secure/encrypted connections

nortons(firewall) set to allow instead of auto (auto blocks on occassion)

See if there is any change under a clean boot per this link just to see if the launcher appears 

if using the default installer if the launcher appears enable the bitraider services and the launcher should download

  • So logging in as the base admin seemed to allow the launcher to load. Downloading updates now, will see if after it is done if everything works under normal user profiles

    OK just tested under non base admin, seems problem still exists. Even with a clean boot. But it works under the base admin

    Right now I run Nvidia, but the permissions were already set to allow for both the launcher and bitraider

    I gather you are saying it works under a different windows user account profile ?

    the only place i can think to look is the network settings maybe if a proxy is being set for example, it may stop the launcher for example as it cannot communicate

    Sorry for the ignorance, but that I am unsure how to check that and fix it.

    I did, on a hunch, created a new user with admin privileges, and the launcher popped right up without an issue. So not sure as to why the issue only happens with the one user

    Easiest is to open a command prompt as administrator and do the below command

    netsh winhttp reset proxy

    it may not be this, trying to work out changes between one user profile and a new one can be difficult.

    worst case is to use that user profile when playing ....

  • Tried Resetting the Proxy, did nothing.

    Guess I will have to accept the fact that this is a very weird issue, bite the bullet and utilize the second user to access the program.

    Sorry couldn't help further , issues like this are very difficult remotely, especially if the clean boot made no change.
