I have tried what you are suggesting but this is not able to fix it. As i cannot remove a ability from the companions quickbar nor place one in it. Since the ability is not in his quickbar the companion will not use it. This means that the Play Dead emote is only taking up space and i cannot remove it from it's place. Thus making it a less of a effective healer companion.
