My initial thought is apart from is the account the original account
Is that it is likely that if you had played prior to F2P being introduced the system just isn't recognizing your previous subscription.
Once F2P was introduced any subscribing for at least 30 days or spending $5.00 should be moved to preferred.
Likely best solution if it has been this long is buy 30 days sub now as it will also grant you access to all released expansions like KOTFE and KOTET and able to level to 70.
If the exapansion was released after you last subscribed you cannot access it currently without subbing again.
So Sub for at least 30 days and this will solve all your access restrictions and move you to preferred when the sub lapses.
