Re: SWTOR Launcher not even starting

Last time i saw where the launcher was only opening once per computer restart, the cause was the antivirus, , that time was bitdefender.

I can see you are using avast , not aware of it causing issues but it cant be discounted, maybe uninstall avast as a test, just be sure to put back or change av used.

Have you tried a clean boot per this link to see if the launcher appears fine more then once ? if using bitraider leave the bitraider stuff enabled

I have seen one other post elsewhere with similar symptoms recently, unsure if a second person or if you have posted elsewhere.

I'm going to try a clean boot next time I have an issue (restarted PC and it's running now although I have a sound bug so it's probably not going to be long) and I've tried turning off avast and running but it makes no difference :/

Likely cause is that the update has reset a firewall exclusion for you; opening your firewalls and re-validating them would be where I would start.

Please remember most windows operating systems have a built in firewall; you must re-validate then reboot your PC before you will see that the 'door' is open.
