Refer a friend doesn't work

The issue you are having is on the account level and cannot be solved by the ingame support team who only deal with ingame issues. Your best bet is to give CS a call. If you are not from one of the listed countries where they have phone lines, refer to the bottom of my post for calling them for free via skype.

So the only way to get this resolved is by actually calling them??

That seems odd, this sort of thing should be solvable by either chat or ingame ticket.

I don't live in any of those countries.

I could try calling them trough skype but I am not sure if that works, i tried calling numbers through skype before but it didn't work.

They should  be able to fix this through the ticket system, if ingame they can't solve this then they need to contact a superior them self.

The US number is a toll-free number and that is why it works via skype.

I appreciate the hint of contacting them through phone as it seems this works but I am not going to sit and wait for so long :P

I will just have to be more patient and hope they reply to my ticket I created.

or even better, maybe someone from EA will respond here, they seem to be very active *wink wink*

Ask your Friends to log in on swtor.com and then klick your refferal link again, there was a bug with the accepting a time back.

And from my expirience the 45min wait time are counting on the very safe time.

Did they opt in for the bioware emails it is required , see here

He did opt in for the email.

I will ask is he can click on the link again if that makes any difference.

Still no reaction from Bioware on this , not through ticket, email or phone, the phone always has an hour wait time on it.

I wish the ingame chat thing would work, it's still grayed out.

Ok he clicked the link again but he just needs to add a new account again instead of using it for his current newly within 14 days created account that is now a sub....

On a other note, I also contacted EA about this. they can't help me no matter how hard I tried.

If it isn't resolved in a week from now they told me they will try a different method, hopefully I will have spoken to an expert by then, if not I at least have sort of a backup plan.

Have you gone to your account page on the swtor website and confirmed that your referral code was used properly? 

Login, click on your name on the top right of the page, and click My Account. Then, on the left hand side, click on "Refer A Friend". If you scroll down, you should see all of your referrals and their status, as well as the rewards you are due. 

If your friends names are not listed, it means the referral failed for whatever reason (either they did not sign up for it, or something went wrong in the process). If they did sign up, the rewards and their status as subscribers should be listed. 

I know that's not a fix, but at least you can verify what the system thinks is wrong before you contact customer service. Good luck!
