Repeated Server Lag and Disconnect
I just returned from a two year hiatus and I'm experiencing frequent server lag followed by disconnection.
My home network and ISP have not changed since I played last. I have reset my router, restarted the PC several times. I play SWTOR through Steam and have checked the file integrity twice. While trying to play with a friend, they noted that they could still see my character moving and emoting when I issued the commands but there is no response on my end.
No other online game experiences problems and I'm running out of ideas. Has anyone experienced this problem and how did you fix it?
if wifi try ethernet cable direct to the modem/router to see if the same still occurs
remove and readd exceptions for the game to both the antivirus and firewall
lastly see if any difference occurs when trialing the free trial of wtfast will help see if its the internet side of things
