Solved

See through graphics issue for SWTOR.

I have been getting this graphics issue for a while now. With bloom on, things look great but there is a see-through effect that happens with all lit areas. If I turn bloom off..the game looks dull and lightsabers don't appear lit.

Is there a fix to this issue that anyone knows of?

    Thanks!

Hopefully they'll have a fix for this in future updates so I can go back to Very High.

    Appreciate your time mate, cheers!

  • I am having a similar problem since I updated my Intel HD 5000 drivers today. The overall performance of the game has improved, but all skin textures are transparent and the bloom effect is not displayed properly. Changing AA settings from high to mid or switching AA off doesn't help. The only way to remove the transparency seems to be by turning off the bloom.

I can't say I'm satisfied with how the game looks like after turning off the bloom, so I'm  going to try and find a way to fix it. It would be great if someone has already found the solution and would be so kind as to share it.

The solution in this case if it is video driver caused to use a different video driver version and report that bug to Intel so they can address it in a future video driver.

Repair steps for the game is per this guide link if you ever need it.

  • I ran the repair process and now I can't launch the game anymore due to error c7.

C7 is usually a video driver error on a system above minimum requirements, repair isnt known to cause C7

    Try reinnstalling the driver

  • I went through hell. After updating the drivers to Intel HD Graphics 5000 to the newest one under windows 7, I started to experience problems with transparent skin textures and bloom began to work improperly. The good thing was that I was finally able to change graphics settings in game and overall performance went up.

Upon uninstalling the newest drivers to my graphics card, my macbook air (mid 2014 model) loaded Standard VGA drivers and could no longer recognize that drivers to Intel HD Graphics 5000 were being installed. I finally decided to reinstall the windows 7. I spent nearly 20 hours trying to figure out once again how to do it from Mac OS, because bootcamp assistant comes with broken files and apparently Windows 7 installer has a problem with USB 3, so neither my keyboard nor trackpad/mouse was working on the installation screen.

Eventually I managed to fix the issue of transparent skin textures. I had to upgrade windows 7 to windows 10, after that I updated graphics drivers and the problem seized to be.

Other graphics problems still persist, these are flickery graphics and graphical artifacts. It doesn't really matter what settings I'm using - these problems are still there.

My MacBook Air is configured as follows:

    OS: Windows 10 64-bit

    System Model: MacBook Air 6,2

    Processor: Intel Core i7-4650U CPU @ 1.70GHz (4CPUs), ~2.3GHz

    Memory: 8192 MB RAM

GPU: Intel HD Graphics 5000, 2GB RAM

    Directx 12

Any idea how to fix these other graphical problems?

    @Vallendrod

Does the graphical flickering and artifacts change at all on any other graphics preferences? Have you tried starting from the lowest and gradually increasing?
