Subscription problem

Greetings,

I am trying to add a subscription to my account, but I have been unsuccessful, without given a proper reason as to why. Granted, I live in Greece where things are... unusual, to say the least, but anyway here's what I tried so far:

  • Tried my (Mastercard) debit card that I use to buy things from Steam, or Humble Bundle, or other companies abroad. It said that "We're sorry, but we can't perform transactions to this credit card. Please load a different one."
  • Tried five other credit or debit cards, including Visa, Visa Debit and American Express. I was given the same error as above, note that the bank accounts linked with those cards are certain to have more than enough the amount required to subscribe.
  • Tried my PayPal account with my debit card. It said that there was an error and I should try again later, however my bank was charged about .90 euros or so. Paypal itself said that the payment was "Denied" (a not-so-thorough search of what that meant revealed that the payment was denied by the receiving party, not my bank).
  • Tried different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer).
  • Tried different computer.

The outcome was the same however, I was unable to add a subscription to my account. What can I do at this point to subscribe to the game? A 60 day prepaid card is something I want to avoid, not that I didn't try. Greece does not have these though and amazon requires you to live in UK to purchase one, not to mention that they are quite more expensive than a normal subscription (that I used to have about up to 11 months ago or so with my older and obsolete debit card), pricing at about 17 euros/month.

P.S.: Oh I forgot to add (this is my EA account, not SWTOR account, didn't notice!) my SWTOR account is Krildor.

    That worked as you suggested, Belgorad. I spoke to a polite and very patient (given the skype lag and general bad communication due to the sketchy internet at my work) support specialist.

    She did some tests that showed my payment attempts were not even being listed and so escalated my ticket to another specialist, just to see what's happening on their end.

    I look forward to it being resolved, I'm actually optimistic. Thank you 🙂
