Just tried logging in on my old account via his steam launcher. It works fine, I don't know why I can't log in with his account

As to the windows 11 system install directx 9 legacy files https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
and install C++ https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
and be sure the stand alone launcher is not an old version from years ago, it needs to this one now https://www.swtor.com/download
