SWTOR Ping Spikes | Guidance/Assistance Requested

    The highlighting was for the ISP I just reused the same photo. After further speaking with my ISP, I was being throttled due to a diagnostic error. They fixed that when they came out and replaced the router. However the new router reset my firewall and packet filtering which is why there was no improvement with the new router. I fixed the firewall back to my custom settings and forwarded the ports that were once forwarded and I am playing without any more ping spikes.

    I am not sure how to mark a forum post as a resolved but this has been resolved and I appreciate your response.

The pingplots you posted, show no issues occurring , the hops you highlighted are router artifacts and not an issue

i gather the pingplots where taken when playing swtor ? 

Best suggestion i have is if your playing by wireless at present, connect by Ethernet cable and see if it persists

    glad to hear you found a solution

    when looking at pingplots in the future, the hops you highlighted showing packet loss, it is only an issue for the path if the packet loss appears on every hop after it appears, if it doesn't its not an issue

    the packet loss on those hops are by design, the hops you highlighted have not prioritised ICMP packets and are dropping them, your ISP network people would/should know this.

      I just looked at the ping plot and realize what I did. The reason IP Plotter 1 is highlighted is due to this one (IP Plotter 3) attached. I am not sure why I did not include it in the original post, its been a long day haha. Also I promise if it wasn't for those screenshots they would've just made me factory reset and call it a day AT&T support from my 10 years of experience has always been kind of "eh put a Band-Aid on it."

      I must say working as a cyber security engineer and forgetting to double check my firewall and port forwarding is a badge of shame haha. Once again my only excuse is it has been a long day.

      Anyhow I wish to echo once again my appreciation for your reply and I am excited to get back in the game without the ping spikes.
