There will always be poeple with this problem, on a public forum can only suggest try a different payment method eg paypal, check account details match the card details.
Other then that may need to buy from amazon or similar which has 60 day cards etc.
CS phone numbers are at this link , account issues can only be discussed over the phone, there is no help that a forum can provide on this other the check the stuff above.
Having the same problem. Called support, but they did not know what to do. Tried on different PCs and browsers. PayPal does not work too

Can you make sure the country you're in, the country on the payment method, and the country of your SWTOR account, all match? Sometimes if the country listed on your SWTOR account and the country on your billing info don't match, the system won't like it.

Hi @proxos666 ,
I wrote to another topic yesterday and saw this one with a similir problem to mine. I've called CS as you suggested and had a go yesterday but I will check again with them today. The thing I've found out was, my problem occurs due to spefic charecters in my surname when I input the card info on the payment screen so today I was able to add a new credit card without a problem under my account tab by changing those characters.
But the new issue is eventhough I got the "this field has invalid characters" error while trying to pay for the 30 days, it has taken my money and has not upgraded my account. My bank says the payment is on hold by the opposite party.
My display name is King_Hotdog.
It's ok if you cant support me via forum as I will be calling CS again today.

- 5 years ago@proxos666 Wow you really are a hero, uhm ViolenceAsylum is my username, played since '14 so like 7 years on and off, never had account issues before, my account is also linked to steam, however upon reviewing all the issues users ran into on that platform I've just stayed away from it, I'm thinking it's a safer bet to get the swtor.com store working before I risk a nonrefundable steam purchase. I am preffered and would like to solve this on forum so possible as calling a UK or US line from my country is pretty expensive and may cost the equivalent of a 30 day sub.
So I solved my own issue, looks like I am one of the rare individuals who can use the steam store, and only the steam store. I actually noticed I had some spare change in my steam wallet and decided to haphazardly see if I could purchase the lowest bundle of cartel coins. And it worked, just like that, so then I got brave and tried a sub, and that worked. Dont know why the swtor.com store does not work, but at least I can sub again. Thanks for the response Hero, +XP to you.

Support said the account is fine, they said it is a payment issue for some reason , so maybe check with the bank etc
can try to remove and re-add the card details or try a different payment method also
- 4 years ago
Hmmm, I've tried adding/removing it several times in several browsers still nothing, apart from paypal(don't have) and card there isn't another method :/ I was subbed before like a year ago but canceled via the website, could that be causing an error?

can only suggest linking to steam or buy a digitalgame card from amazon for example
just be sure the accounts are linked prior to buying on steam https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-on-steam

Long time subscriber here now getting the same error as everyone else. Not sure why as I've been playing with no issues for the last few months.
Any chance you can do your magic with this one? 🙂

Support said the account is ok and they can see you were able to make a purchase today .
Previous attempts were blocked by your payment provider, so they advise if it happens again to contact your bank - 4 years ago

Hi, I am having a similar problem, except I'm trying to use a prepaid Visa gift card. I'm trying to buy the 30-day directly from swtor.com, but it keeps giving me the 0 error code no matter what I do. Do I just need to wait a day or can I do something to make this transaction go through?
I have tried using incognito, and I have switched browsers, but no change in the past half hour.
