SWTOR wants to give me unneccesary name changes
Admittedly it's been a while since I played SWTOR (2012), so I shouldn't be surprised that a lot of things have changed. This includes Active slots, free-to-play models and something called preferred.
I can wrestle my way through this, but there's one thing I can't seem to figure out:
The game wants me to change the name on 80% of my characters. It calls it necessary. I would disagree. I'm perfectly happy with many of the names I've had since I've started playing it. The link says that I don't need to, if I am or become a subscriber. Well, I've always been a subscriber and I'd love to become a subscriber once more. So will this not be necessary if I now subscribe to the game?
Did you last play before the server merger? If so that would be the reason why. When they merged servers people that had the same / duplicate name had to reclaim them. More then likely someone else claimed the names you had before so you would need to choose new names.
