Trying to be able to restart using a security key

I quit playing SWTOR a while ago but recently came back, I took off the security key from my account because I had a new phone. I am trying to get it set back up but it is not allowing me to do so. I...

    Yes google or microsoft authenticator will also give that access to the vendor any TOTP app can be now be used 

    even Winauth installed on the PC itself

Try a Synch as the key is Time based

    • Tap on the menu icon at the top-right of the screen:

  •  Tap Settings > Sync now.

I don't the sync option on my app.

    How old is the app ? 

    See this link for current versions if needed , also the swtor app doesn't need to actually be used now

      Another simple thing is compare the time on the phone to time.gov (allowing for time zone do they match)

        I think I am giving up, I was just trying to get to use the security key vendor but trying to get the app to work is becoming to much of an issue. it's the latest version, but no sync or settings choice. Does using the google authentication give me the same access to the security vendor?
