The calendar is dumb. The stuff that's going to happen is going to happen whether there's a calendar or not, and the stuff that's important will be an off-calendar surprise until a couple days before they happen. What were you going to do if they'd posted the calendar? Farm up for whatever the last assault battle of the month will be?
Meanwhile this was a fun puzzle that engaged the community and brought folks together, allowed a music major to get some use out of that degree, and entertained a whole bunch of people who weren't even interested in the puzzle.
Don't be such a wet blanket.
