That's really weird. I finished gw today with the exact same 5 I started with. Their protection was deleted about node 4. Who are you running?
I have 15 characters level 73-75 and 5 characters 60-70
I lost all but 4 characters when I ran into a few pre crafted 40k HP RG with Droid teams and RG paired with Dooku lead and Rey Daka.
I lost my protection after the first battle. I completed GW but it took me over 2 hours and lost all my high characters and pushed through with just 4 60-70 left at the end.
Was it fun.... nope it was boring as hell and before the update most I ever lost was 2-3 characters.
