Because with an issue like this a timely response is needed. Not a long drawn out delay. If by chance it was a mistake (highly unlikely) a response of "we're checking on it" should be in play. The 20k credits along with a whale driven update has people in a state of anger and frustration. Honestly I expected alot more. So it's safe to say that there are alot of angry people being patient. Leaving people in the dark is just adding to the anger and frustration.
We will probably get a response of "we are checking on it and will inform the community of actions intended to be taken" and it will just be forgotten by the majority like the free shards with the Japanese popup fiasco that never had a final resolution.
