3v3 GAC is cringe. GAC is outdated

Add more teams needed for defense.. With all our new teams it would Make GAC fun again. Either give us a option to join 3v3 or 5v5 when we join GAC. Or do 3v3 twice a year so those Omni’s weren’t a waste. Truly the stupidest thing in the game besides the system for Mod Calibration. If those things we’re addressed we might be winning. Again.

How things have changed.  Before this forum, there was an old one.  I used to make funny, joking posts like "Do you think people that like 3v3 GAC also like 3 wheel cars?"  Then write something witty about 3 wheel cars being inferior to 'proper' cars and liable to topple over in the snow.   These topics DID NOT go down well.

One fellow in particular (thankfully long gone, or I wouldn't be here) took great offence to my posts, me and my character.  After that, he reported every single one of posts, no matter how benign.  I know this as fact as I was told by the/one of the persons who received the reports.  I ended up being pushed off of the forum by this hateful...so and so.

Anyway, I digress.  Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse, this place is a lot more forgiving of topics like this, that are often repeated (to death maybe).  It's hard to get a new perspective on something that's been done, since 3v3 crawled out of the womb of the witch-demon of GACatar.......sorry I mean became a thing.

I tend to agree personally.  Our rosters are much bigger than when the current GAC board was shaped and moulded.  However, many wouldn't agree.   It would cost players more time and many really would not like that.  Also, right now, GAC isn't the funnest place on the SWGOH planet.  It's so defence orientated that smashing your head against a brick wall which is made of bricks is funner.  On the whole though, a thumbs up from me.

    And add some variety...maybe.

Now I don't understand why we don't get this option.....well actually I probably do.  I think the short answer is that 3v3 wouldn't survive.  What annoys me the most though is that the same ladder is used for the 2 different formats.  I often come out of 3v3 with a 6-3 or 5-4 record and immediately go 0-3 in 5v5, followed by a 3-0 and then something competitive in the third week; it affects my 5v5 enjoyment.  Switching between the two causes (in my opinion) ladder imbalances.  Or alternatively, round 1 is 5v5, R2 is 3v3 and R3 is 5v5, could help with the balance.  Essentially though, I dislike both formats being on the same ladder.

Well................they would be a waste though, wouldn't they?   Who wants an omicron which they can only use a couple of times a year?  Also, I think 3v3 does have some positives.  And just playing 5v5 everywhere, would I think get stale.  Where am I going with this point....I don't know!  I'd rather play 5v5, but 3v3 probably has a place.  Maybe, that place is elsewhere ...... like TW maybe?

That's your opinion, of course.  I think on the whole, 3v3 isn't as popular.  However, for some of those that like to win and some of the more skilful, dedicted players, they do prefer 3v3.

In short though...... Marvels Terrible Trio and Fantastic Five were called terrible and fantastic for a reason!

  • You don’t speak for me. I prefer 3v3 and definitely don’t need my roster stretched even more thinly than it is in current GAC.
