I would have been okay with 3v3 TW. I would actually prefer that to the "crazy bonus" versions of TW. At least in 3v3, the interactions and balance are "normal", albeit limited due to squad size.
If they alternated between 3v3 and 5v5 in TW I would much prefer that to 5v5 alternating between "vanilla" and "silly bonus" flavors.
