The math is not matching. Did I miss an update or something? 49 ÷ .8 = 61 participants. My guild is only 370M. What am I missing?
Ok, just for my sake... the answer was found.
When the GP total is over 350M, the number of squads = number of participants. So in this case, our opponent has 49/50 participating. Therefore, 49 squads are needed per sector.
Important to note, we previously had 36 squads last TW with an all time high of 40. We didn’t increase in GP bracket. (I’m in the same guild)
Our opponent is also only about 370M, so we're not exactly "end game". I'm just not sure where this math is coming from.
I was under the impression that the math is done based on 250M. If the participating guild GP is under 250M, you take # squads per sector and divide by .6. If the GP is over 250M, you use .8
So if you have 50 (full) participants, you will have at most 40 squads per sector.
Now if there's an update or "altered" math as guilds start pushing to 500M, I would just like to know the math. Based on this, it's .98
