- Next up they'll release a toon by putting it in platoons FIRST, then giving us the possibility of getting those shards.

It's a money gold mine though
It is, but there is a line as Isaah pointed out directly above you. I, for one, am MUCH more likely to put money into a game that I don't feel is actively trying to kitten me over.
Well someone must be paying money cause they haven't changed adding brand new characters- LadyVampire_X8 years agoHero (Retired)

TB are supposed to be a team effort not a wallet effort: i keep farming for a toon, my guildmates goes for another toon and so on...
Peace
Not all things will be accessible to everyone at launch, we all can understand that I think. The mobile platforms in general all function this way in one form or another. I can totally get the dislike or non approval of that.
Which is why the team looks at and listens to ideas vs (this is stupid, money grab, burn it all down!) being funny there, but ideas come from all over and sometimes the best idea is in the crowd and sometimes as a business it is a compromise of a great idea with a economical one , but we all want an amazing experence. No one has the game, or job, or ability to have this community if not.
Which is why the promotion of ideas beyond the hate or dislike is useful, dismissing good civil talks is how nothing changes and thats why I and we and others are trying more outreach not less :)
Hope we can get more ideas and concepts out there , not just accepted or changed necessarily but the flow of friendly ideas and to listen to every point of view (business, development, players free and paid) hopefully we can all make an impact on the community and game.
Thank you all for the ideas to come! - Who thought it was a good idea to make the two newest toons required for platoon battles in TB when they literally just came out, thus either forcing players to pay to rank them to meet the requirements or not being able to complete the platoon? This is blatant money grabbing and I want to know why.

They have already done that in DSTB with IPD needed the first week of DSTB. ROLO has been needed in LSTB as well.- Is this meant to be ? I have to pay money to fill platoons ? Seems broken.
- Well for me, everything about how the P4+ platoons work now is pretty toxic. I'm not "surprised" as someone else described it - they said that they were gonna do this and they did. But at the time I also said exactly the same thing I say now: That this is a huge detriment for both the players and the developers.
It takes me eleven seconds to think about this system and say its dumb. But the developers are going to wait until its been in place for six months before someone admits that its decreasing engagement and hampering the desire to spend and that hey, maybe this wasn't a good idea. I get that, and I even get *why* that happens. But game designers and monetization designers would do well to recognize that sometimes you don't need to "wait and see" to confirm that an idea doesn't work. - LadyVampire_X8 years agoHero (Retired)

I understand whales and those that spend on this game do and should get first dibs at playing new content to its full potential. However LSTB isn’t new and has been around for months. It’s about time the goals posts stop moving and the “upper mid” tier of guilds get to start having the opportunity to 45/45 LSTB. Or at least come closer to it
TB platoons are more like “living” content as it does expand as roster options and to keep it from being stale or plateau. I think this has been explained before but people’s view of that is very obviously opposed based on your level of spend or roster age.
So its not moving the goal posts as the intent has always been the same, but i do see how changing them to be easier to aim for could be a popular opinion and perhaps a limit or time cap could be implemented. That is the kind of real idea that might be usable :)
I also think some thought has been looked at for those who want to use a new shiny toon as well, so the conversation is a good one to have. - LadyVampire_X8 years agoHero (Retired)@Ravens1113
Not ignored at all! One of the things about the forum community is facilitating conversations and the fact a development coder is not responding is not an indication of intrest, when you see mods pushing topics forwards it should be a clear indication of that.
In the thought stage (idea of change) level, what could they say other than “were looking at it” which tends to be seen as negative by most in the community.
If it gets chnaged its an announcement, if its broken its moved to bugs, when wai in current form it was spoken about by development and moved here or sticked on the front. Where we are now is in listening, engaging, and flushing out ideas.
We can continue to yell at the process and call people names and insult ea and the team, or we can discuss ths issues we also agree many topics have merit to further drive forward here. That doesnt mean it WILL change but great ideas and comprise never start out complete and are more often born out of understanding and talking.
We are trying to do new things this year too and engagement at the ground level is something we want and we hope to bring some with us especially those who post alot because maybe it can start feeling less like yelling at the sky and more like healthy debate! "Vampire_X;c-1446958" wrote:

Do you know this for a fact? Because we have complained about this since the very beginning of TB, and the only feedback we got was Kozi saying “too bad, recruit people who have these characters/ships to your guild” and then changes made to platoons that addressed the issue for phases 1-3 but made it worse for phases 4-6. So I have interpreted the lack of comment as “we’ve already dealt with this, it’s not changing the way you want, we don’t care anymore.” Do you have actual reason to believe they are even considering fixing it?
