There is a different game, which rules forbid talking about … but it is like this game in many ways. That game also released an OG character with much of the same reaction. Why release this character when there are so many other better and wanted characters? We never got an answer from the devs of the other game. We won’t get one from these devs either, but I’ll tell ya why. It’s because they can.
But this other character ended up being one of the best F2P characters in game to date. That release was well over a year ago and the same opinion remains.
Now you may ask why I draw this comparison outside of the reseasons I mentioned above:
The kit, it’s all about the kit. The kits fills a huge spot that MANY have been begging for, a LS droid leader. Now you say: Lobot is here! Jawa is here! JTR is here! Yes, yes, and yes. But… lobot sucks, Jawas are better as a full team rather breaking them off like Kit Kat bars, and JTR, well actually I having nothing bad to say.. this team actually works really well and I like it. But synergy!! JTR with droids is kind like a puzzle… if you don’t have the right strategy it won’t work. With 5O, no problemO.
Also, this kit frees up 2 droids that get kinda forgot about in their faction: chopper and t3. These droids were just “spare parts” if you will but now they have a home.
While it’s easy to get mad at CG and throw vegetables at them, I think they may have gotten this one right. Now it’s early, the character could break the game, or I could just be wrong about the whole thing in general. But I do agree it’s a super random and weird move.
