Absurd Pricing for Passes, etc.

When is CG going to lower prices for the in-game Calendars and various in-game passes? The prices are absurd when I compare them to AAA games, and this mobile game simply does not require the same amount of development team resources as AAA game titles. Additionally there is hardly any customer support especially showing up as developer updates.

Probably never. You can't compare it with AAA games, it's not the same business model. Mobile games are based on players who spend thousands per year. Players that will pay, basically, whatever CG asks for. For example: are they going to sell x2 packs if they half the price? Probably not. So, why should they do it?

  • Some of the influencers released what they paid for Maul - Cash Fueled.  With era pass, 7 starring characters and buying era currency came to a whooping $1300 US dollars.  That was just to Level 85!  There are folks out there on the leader boards with 6 level 90 toons and some with level 95!!!

They are going to charge whatever people are willing to pay.  We saw the Dec 2025 price increases and folks paid it rather than sitting on their hands for three months, now we’re stuck with the increased costs.  The cool thing, no one is forcing any player to pay.  We’re all reaping the benefits because a few thousand folks in the world love Star Wars enough to pay those insane prices.

So if you’re that 1,400 foot Kraken from Pirates of the Caribbean keeping this game afloat, thanks.

because a lot of "whales" said they are done spending money after the giant era battles sinkhole. Everybody has his limit, no matter how deep the pockets are, at some point it feels like getting scammed and at that point the spending stops. I would think i you ask the average spender if they would spend more frequent if the prices were lower the answer would be yes. i also think a lot of small purchases still make more money then big purchase here and there. But then again, there will always be the next pack untill there isn't

The OP was asking about prices of passes and calendars, not max leveling new era characters.

I know, i'm just saying that the era spending was the final straw for a lot of whales to stop spending on everything. This in turn will result in either prices going up for the diehard spender or they are going to have to lower the prices so that they can convince people to buy stuff they wouldn't buy at current prices.... Or they can keep on doing what they do now. What i do know is, this forum is NOT the place for making a change, doubt they even read this and go hmmm they might have a point

I personally worry because I have spent money and time on mobile apps that were abusive on their spending structure and those games are no longer available. Once they're gone, they are gone completely and the company doesn't give a second thought to its customers.

Just to keep it within the Star Wars IP, there was Force Arena, Rivals, Uprising, Assault Team, Commander, Rebels: Recon Missions, Hunters, and Galactic Defense.

Personally Uprising and Galactic Defense irk me the most.

A lot of the developers for these games took people's money and shut down their games even after updates and game patches.

I guess the answer I want from Capital Games is their reply to their foreseeable staying power. Just having the Star Wars IP isn't good enough. CG needs to communicate it's long term plans and speak to its financial stability both for its customers and to its shareholders.

That is worrysome as a focused and limited spending user base that decides to draw back on spending would sink the game.

Newest Calendar is kyrotech but as all the Content Creators pointed out, the times of kyrotechs being a bottleneck have passed with the introduction of Lightspeed Tokens. $20 for a Kyrotech bundle is now a rip off.
