I’ve seen this too, only in battles I’ve timed out. I think the timer keeps going in the background during the transition out of the battle screen, or something similar.

Sorry, my account is years old, just never really posted here, only did because someone asked me to look into it since it seemed weird is all, talking of which, is it common or not to see that issue? because this is making me want to start leaving an extra minute or so during my battles so that it lowers the chance of that happening to me, you know, would hate to lose 6+ years of progress to a server hiccup.
