Acquiring super mods

Is there any secret to it beyond dumb luck?
Use that find mods feature. That works a little or I just get excited by what it finds.
Seems like a few refreshes of cantina energy are necessary.

The mods as we upgrade them to get all the secondary stats are based on die rolls. Would love some super speedy secondary stats. Maybe if I upgrade them too quickly something gets lost. Getting pretty nerfy die rolls!!!

Anyone have some theory about all this or advice on clever mod hunting?

If you buy mods - buy only blue with speed secondary. You'll have a 25% chance to get +15 speed and 50% chance to get +10
Don't buy purple and gold if not a whale, too many disappointments

Thanks for all the responses. Good thread.

So Zeus how about green mods?

    And there's a round mk5 v-c data bus blue speed mod for 2.5% protection mk5 with 3 speed as 1st secondary stat/ .48offense. 2016 crystals yikes!
How would the possible upgrades be? Max 9 or 12 speed based on rolls?

If you see someone with a secondary speed stat over 12 then they received 6 and 7 star mods as raid rewards that were subsequently modified by CG back to 5 star mods and the stats were reworked...all except for speed, which must not have been changed. Until they reintroduce the 6 and 7 star mods you have no chance of getting one over 12(unless it's a speed primary on an arrow mod)...at least that's my theory. I have asked folks in my guild and on my arena leaderboard and this is the best answer I can give you.

Not true...I bought a blue four star health triangle granting crit damage using credits last month and upgraded speed twice giving me 15 speed. I think it was pretty lucky but it's possible
  • Luck of the mod challenge roulette... I've never bought mods from the mod store, but I've raked in 3 of the 30 Speed primary arrow mods and several high crit damage, protection, and crit avoid mods. Just have to play the odds and play the 3rd tier challenges as often as possible.
  • Shipments ... the best mods i found, i bought out of shipments ... farming mods in mod table is just to fill gaps until you find better ones in shipments ... its sad, but thats what it looks like for me.

    Dont do mod battles.

Refresh the shipments. It's much much better. For f2p as well.

Yaaas. The force is strong in this one.
