Join the club. I frankly don't care about the tourney. I only want the gear and money and after that who cares. A top 1000 ish finish is good enough. These tournaments require way to much time and resources. If all new characters are going to be through tournaments than very few players with have them.

Your expectation was too high if you thought you can get the full character with 70K. But look at it like I do. I spend 70K AP for 1.6M credit then tournaments are worth it.

I spent, like 300k, and got to like 73 but fell to 150 and can't win because AI keeps pulling cheep tricks, like randomly doubling their speed (I checked beforehand, I had highest speed, they went twice my speed) and they randomly respawned people.

What is your complaint exactly? 70k AP is something that vapourises in 20 minutes for last hours before end.
You gotta have 500k and more if you want to be top 100

i finished 8th after 130k spent. it's all about how many teams you can field and how strategic you are on your matches.

Haha same thing happened to me with the other tournament, dropped from 73 to 389 with 4 hours to go. Then this one, I was 96 with 5 SECONDS LEFT. got rewards for 101. Smh.

Not really, in an auction the highest bidder get the price and the others keep their bets.

The tournaments are for the top 20-50 people per server. For everyone else it is a waste of time.

The results aren't based who has time in the final hour. If you're unable to play the final hour do your spending well before that to get to a top spot and have that hold. I was sitting around 25 and the last hour I went down to 80th with only doing one attack just to be safe.

But do you see the contradiction there? If someone has no time in that last hour, say they are at work for example, they can easily drop out of character rewards even doing what you suggested. That one battle you were able to do could have been the difference in an 80th finish and walking away with Cas and a 101st finish and walking away with... shards.

It was the same in CG's last offering HoDA. I stopped doing PvP tourneys for characters because I was always at work during the last hour and thus was never able to get in demand characters.
