if this wasn't star wars, we wouldn't waste another thought on it.
this has been a great misunderstanding. :)
i agree totally. what i meant to say what that we only care (despite the problems) because star wars has so much history and we as fans care so much about it. if it was anything else we would not care because of all the problems (some of which you mention again, quite correctly).
the worst part about the weird shift in character is that ashoka is filoni's main character. he loves her, some might say, a bit too much. it makes no sense to me. - LordDirt2 years agoSeasoned AceEpisode 3
Episode was entertaining enough but had some weird moments and it didnt push the story much.
Typical stereotypical blind sword training
Why do some ships take dozens and dozens of hits and take no damage and yet some take one hit and explode?
Why not fly above the ring where they cant aim instead of flying right at its guns?
Ahsoka put on her space suit instantaneously and then the fighting in space
Interested in the Inquisitor and if they make them someone we know
Love Baylan Skoll but he is barely used
Hate how each episode is getting shorter and shorter. 56m to 44m to 36minutes - LordDirt2 years agoSeasoned AceBtw, since it seems we arent getting a Solo 2 movie to tie Ren and the Knights of Ren to the current movies it would be interesting to have the Inquisitor be Ren but I dont know how they could do that. Really need a Solo 2.
- Crasysab_TTV2 years agoNew Traveler1 and 2 are lit. 3 was... boring af. Just one space fight where the fighters use lasers that wouldn't kill a chicken

I think if the Rey Spinoff movie is a success, they will delve more into content around the sequel era (few years before TFA and after TROS) - I enjoyed Ahsoka and Sabine's attitude a lot better in Ep. 3. It was kinda slow going and I agree too short time wise, but I will be tuning in next week.
- Calgacus662 years agoSeasoned AceHm. My main takeaway from this episode was a question: who’s feeding the cat while Sabine’s away?
I can’t say I’ve got interested enough in anything else yet. "Wed_Santa;c-2436790" wrote:

Thanks, that made me laugh.- Episode 3 could be summarized in 2 sentences. Maybe 3. Not much happened. You can tell Filoni comes from a cartoon background. It shows and not in a good way.
Lots of time wasted at the beginning with the homage to Ben & Luke training on the Millennium Falcon. The idea was ok but they made it worse and more boring than the original. The episode is 20 minutes short. This scene was disproportionately long.
The show seems to imply anyone can use the Force if they just train hard enough and apply themselves. Why? Sabine is borderline OP enough already, she doesn't need the Force as well. Please, someone tell Thrawn. With his dedication and persistance he'll be up there in no time.
The council session... Did Hera show them any evidence? Even without that, the councilors were incredibly incompetent. Why do they portray Mon Mothma that way? And Hera continues to be condescending. She fought her whole life... And what about Mon Mothma? Stalwart leader of the Rebellion who knows exactly how high the stakes are? But they all decide to put their head in the sand. Very responsible.
(At least I can now see why Thrawn would want to come back. Someone needs to save the New Republic from itself!!)
And all of a sudden Hera is supposed to have been searching for Ezra for a long time? In the last episode she sounded almost blase when Ahsoka indicated he could still be alive.
And the worst part of the episode, if not the series...
The space battle! ?
Ahsoka's ship has monster shields, otherwise it would have been destroyed. It survives multiple hits from the fighters and then turbolasers. Ok fine, perhaps it is exceptionally well protected.
The dogfight was terrible. But that pales compares to the scene where the ship is a sitting duck. And they still cannot hit it even once! These are supposed to be trained pilots and they can't hit a ship that's sitting there without power? Park yourself at a safe distance and shoot it somewhere that Ahsoka can't reach. One shot is enough. But no. ?
(And how quickly can she put on that space suit. Impressive!)
What was the point of the space whales? Perhaps we get an explanation next time, the planet could be their breeding ground or something. Mighty coincident but ok.
Overall, there are no stakes in this. We know nothing will happen to any of our main characters. It's just waiting until they reach Ezra or Thrawn or perhaps something else that we haven't already been told via the trailers. Would be nice to have some surprise and suspense at some point. - LordDirt2 years agoSeasoned AceYep, everyone has the Force now but you just have to try hard enough to use it.
