Allow us to hardcap a RotE planet 1 TP shy of 1 Star

Does anyone else find it ludicrous that RotE has been around for...what...2.5 years now?  And yet officers still don't have a way to hardcap a planet shy of 1 Star, a strategy that is inherent to the makeup of this TB in terms of maximizing stars.  The lack of this ability introduces a ridiculous amount of anxiety, frustration and extra work.  As an officer running TB, this is THE biggest frustration in the game, as it virtually requires officers to be "on-call" to avoid blowing a sandbag.

When RotE first came out, I thought okay, maybe CG didn't anticipate holding shy of 1 Star on certain planets would be the optimal strategy.  Let's give them time to program the proper mechanism to handle that.  But then a whole year went by.  Then two.  I really can't fathom why they haven't introduced this feature now.

  • Both previous TB’s had the same issue in pre-loading, this is not a new strategy with RotE so they could have programmed it at the start. But they did not. I am unsure why you expected it to be updated without much call for a quality of life improvement.

    In my opinion much more officer tools should be available. Blocking a star would be great when sandbagging but I would further like to see excess GP banked in earlier phases. The first two often have a lot of excess which means some players don’t even get to do anything if they come later on.

    I agree it was present in the previous TBs, but not to this scale.  With our current "flightplan", we are actually sandbagging 4 planets in phase 5.  I'm sure that's an extreme case, but it's not uncommon to sandbag multiple planets in a phase, which stacks the difficulty.  Since it's so prominent now, I really think CG should have done something about it.

    In terms of desired features, banking GP would be nice.  As would allowing us to set platoons before a phase starts.
