some people get rewards while others lose rewards so it costs CG nothing in the end... another financial victory they can claim.

Oh, yeah, totally. He gets a bad reputation because the Tonight Show was corny, but the Tonight Show was aimed at an audience that wanted corny comedy. It wasn't meant to make you think, it was meant to lull you off to sleep at the end of a long day. His actual standup is still good! Not edgy, but there's plenty of people doing that. He's good live.

Ehhh..... That was 20 years ago. People learn and societies change. It's mathematically a generation ago. I'm not defending the Lewinski material, but I was a teenager then and remember everyone doing it. So instead of resenting individuals for what they said then, I resent the culture that encouraged it and celebrate the shift that has moved away from it. He's moved with the times.
