Don't let this thread die, as this is a huge problem in the game now: Players, who shouldn`t be able to equip 6*-mods, have an advantage at the moment (up to +7 speed, higher offense/defense-stats and so on). Also, some players still have g12-gear, whereas their Malak's only a 6*. This has to be fixed immediately.
The mods are stated to be intended, probably the same for the gear.
Just because they say it’s „intended“ doesn’t mean it’s somewhere fair And/or a good solution. its just not right. And leaves a very bad taste after this huge Malak mess.
Let's be honest - in this case, "intended" just means they don't know how to fix it. They certainly didn't say " How about we let bugged Malaks keep 6* mods". "Intended" is just spin to cover ineptitude. It was never intended. As far as I'm concerned, we don't need more communication if it's going to be dishonest drivel like that. - NyKynoe6 years agoNot applicable

That's not true, but I know I'm not going to convince anyone of that. The reason is far simpler than that. - homerjsolo6 years agoNot applicable

This doesn't seem entirely fair. I'm sure they know how to remove mods from a single character and could filter it to remove only 6E mods from Malaks under 7 stars. What is probably complicating things is the ongoing GAC. They probably don't have a clean and easy way to move the 6E mods back to their original owners or to "unslice" them without royally screwing up some people's roster for GAC.
I'm not going to defend their rollback plan - it felt rushed, incomplete, and unbalanced. But I do believe leaving the mods where they are is not a clear sign of ineptitude. - clarkedorsey6 years agoNot applicableHi kyno! I don’t need convincing on this one...the Malak thing was just really unfortunate timing, not an egregious bug. Lol like...p1 GTB SM freezing for dozens of my guild mates...any update on that feature? Weird that the most common solution was to reboot phone, start battle, immediately go to airplane mode...since...ya know...it’s a mobile phone game...

Did I say fair?
I was merely pointing out to the person saying "fix this immediately", that they dont see it as broken, and are not likely to be making changes to the current situation.
And that they don’t see this as broken is part of the main problem CG has - taxingpear946 years agoNot applicable

I'm curious as to what this simpler reason is. So, now that my Malak has been reverted to 6*, can I be allowed to put 6 dot mods on him? I kept mine at gear 12 after I found out it was bugged and going to be nerfed. I played by the rules, I should be allowed the same advantage as those who did not. - Noxfire276 years agoNot applicable

No, you can’t put 6 dot mods on him. Just the ones who did it before the reroll can keep this advantage. And that’s intended because of a very simple but top secret reason - taxingpear946 years agoNot applicable

But my needs should come before anyone else's!! After all, that is how I see the world. :p
I know, trying to further point out the complete absurdity of how this all went down and will continue to play out for the next few months. This is worse than getting rick rolled, or even steam rolled. - Keydash16 years agoNew AceIf you read the Dev update, it was completely clear that they planned to do this - leaving on the 6E mods and 7* only G11 gear. They probably could have removed all the G11 gear and made people re-equip - I imagine the reason they didn't was that folks with some G11 pieces on who avoided the Malak event would have assumed they would be unaffected by the fixes.
As for the mods, I think it's totally the correct choice to leave them on. Many folks would already have some of their best mods on their 5/6* Malak. Perhaps they then sliced them after getting 7*. Assuming it is difficult for the devs to unslice mods (and it makes sense that it would be trickier to do without unslicing tons of mods unrelated to Malak), removing them would just make it so that those players could no longer use the good mod set on their Malak.
Yes some folks get a tiny advantage compared to folks who didn't fall into these special cases. But these advantages are minuscule compared to getting 42,000 get1 worth of shards. CG had no good solutions after their epic mistake. I think they should have given all players the 5000 get1 and 2250 shard shop, but other than that I think their solution is the best we could hope for.
