People have to have information if we are expected to try to make choices about this stuff.

I am not discounting your criticism of CG, just commenting that we can do and are doing something about the situation: helping each other.
So, which combinations is everyone using / aiming for?
First thing to note is that assists and multiple hits are benefitting a lot from this data set. Think of things like Critical Formation (all allies recover 12% protection with every crit -- put two of those on GAS and as long as he can counter-attack he's invincible) and Stacking Defiance (+Off% per crit). ZA is as good as ever. It doesn't always work with the multiple hit strategy, but it just does so much damage on toons like Admiral Raddus & Padmé and Imperial Troopers that it's crazy not to grab some.
Now, it's also good to remember that Dash is a Support AND his AoE does multiple hits per target. While this can be a negative against the Mandalorians, against almost anyone else he can start with massive damage from. ZA and get even more ridiculous with Critical Formation and Stacking Defiance. If he can attack while the enemy doesn't have Foresight, all it takes is a single ZA disk he can usually one-shot everyone who isn't a tank and then use the offence gained from Stacking Defiance to easily kill the tank(s) left over. Combined with RaidHan to stun your most dangerous and/or fastest opponent and Dash looks insane with even one ZA. With 2 it's hard to imagine the squad who stops him. (He also gets you all the Hokey Religions feats and as long as he attacks first you can put Princess Leia, Old Ben, and Farmboy with him at g1/L1 and you make progress on 2 global feats at once. If you only have one ZA you probably want those toons at g9 or g10 to withstand minor hits from an enemy who is probably a tank.)
In the past I've been able to use ZA (Green) + ZA (Blue) to nuke my way through to red crate even when I didn't have AA. (I had a couple conquests where I couldn't find any AA). Although it can be tricky, even Padmé squads can be handled with ZA.
Fortified seems VERY good, but I haven't found one yet to try it.
I'd really love to see a purple data disk that requires one of the longer feats to drop granting each of your toons DI on their own turn (starts after DoTs and Burn apply, basically it kicks in at the moment you're making your choice of ability and ands at the conclusion of your turn). Since you wouldn't get it until late you couldn't count on it to make progress, but you could use it go clean up 1 & 2 star nodes without worrying about counter-attacks or damage reflection. Then I wouldn't have to worry about attacking Padmé nodes since I can always win, I just can't always count on getting 3*.
