Conquest

Not everyone celebrate xmas, mate!

Yeah, I'm seeing some people having strong feelings about this but I really don't see the problem. For me conquest starts half way through my day on a Monday and sometimes I'm not able to get started until the following day. That's never been a problem - for me. I realize some people may need every single hour of conquest to hit their target box but one extra refresh per day for three days should easily make up the difference. The timing is inconvenient for sure but I just don't think the few hours lost to ignoring the game while you spend time with family is nearly so impactful as some seem to think.

It could be that spending a few extra minutes formulating a plan for conquest could make up for the lost time. If you can find some added efficiency as a result of this, you can only benefit in month 2 and 3 by having extra energy to spend on datacrons - or extra days to not worry about conquest if datacrons aren't your thing. Point is, this doesn't have to be a negative - this could be a good thing if viewed from the right angle.

If you're in Europe it's darn near Boxing Day already -- the 26th, not the 25th -- and farther east it's definitely the 26th.

Christians are also ~30% of people on earth, so if you're a Christian in Europe or east of there but west of the International Date Line, or if you're not a Christian at all, it's just not relevant, and that's gotta be 85% of people or more.

To be fair, the US is a pretty Christian country, and it will be the 25th from Maine to Hawai'i, and the US is particularly relevant given that California, USA is where Star Wars began.

Even so there was no special consideration for college students dealing with finals or Jews during the High Holies, etc., etc.

Take the day off. Enjoy your 25th if that's your thing. You'll still get your target crate if you skip the first 12 hours of Conquest.

So skip that day. At the end of Conquest you are usually done with feats and spend the extra energy on datacrons anyway. It shouldn't be too hard to make up one day.

OP is asking for a week, not 12 hours or a day.

Can we also pause the game on Ramadan? Lunar New Year? Sundays? Saturdays? Fridays? Birthdays? Name days? Hump days?

Perhaps the game could let you pick your holidays, and give you maximum rewards without putting the time in those days. You could accumulate a number of these days over the years that you play. That sounds like a fun game and not like something else at all.

Or can we just ignore the game on days that we celebrate anything in RL? That seems easier than trying to accommodate everyone.

This is a game and stepping away is fine.

People don't poop on Christmas?

I'm sure they're not changing has nothing to do with religion or regions or anything like that. It's likely the same reason you still have to burn alloy points one click at a time...it'd require effort on their part to make a change and that ain't happening. Besides, they're likely all out for the end of the year anyhow and it'll be on auto-pilot til january. It's a US based company so they're all going to be burning end of year vacation around the holiday's here.

Hell, SWTOR was MUCH worse. They'd drop an exansion mind december, rife with bugs, then take off 2-3 weeks for the end of the year and people had to deal with the bugs til they got back. Consider us lucky that's just a conquest start day in question here and not new content! :)

What does pushing it back a week get you anyhow? Jan 1 is a much wider holiday than christmas. And, names notwithstanding, most parts of the world have 'a' holiday around the same time. Part of the reason why a small subset of in the US get upset when you say 'Happy Holidays' instead of Merry Christmas and Happy New year.

So conquest for me would go live at 2pm. Day 1 I try and use all 144 + 3x120 refreshes. That's a lot longer than a toilet break. Or just down time especially if your hosting Christmas. Christmas is a more all day event than new years for many. If CG does launch it on the 25th and it has issues (possible being the first of the new trio) people better not expect CG to work Christmas or boxing day.

Isn't there like 13 or 14 days to complete? I have read too many posts to count of people red crating in like 4 or 5 days. I personally usually only spend maybe 5 or 6 of the days doing conquest, I also don't red crate. But surprisingly I have discovered it doesn't matter. life moves on, the game goes on, and still win and lose in SWGOH no matter what I do in conquest.
