This situation arises from HI being in place, so that will not solve all the cases.
That may be one situation, however I have never seen that one. I typically see it when UL is placed on a unit at the 1% threshold.
Now they can't reach it so become immune to damage.
Still an easy fix heal 1% when UL is applied and the heal can't be prevented. - Yeah, Healing Immunity is unrelated.
- And the vulture droids that not always assist on buzz droids? Or sun fac that doesn't count the buffs of the vulture droids summoned by malevolence?

Just spitballin here, but a tiny amount of Health Equalization followed by healing the allies a tiny amount to make up for the health loss should provide the same effect as healing through healing immunity.
Unless his ship is the only one left, then there is no equalization. Again, less likely but still leaves it open to an edge case.
One edge case seems like a much preferable situation than the norm, wouldn't you say?
Fix it, dont just kick it down the road.
If they are going to take action they should just fix it, rewrite it, or whatever to just be done with it. Not making a long standing fixed issues that still is standing, but over in the corner we only go to sometimes.
This bug has been in place for about 18 months, which should be more than enough time to fix this. At this rate, I'm extremely doubtful it will ever be fixed- scuba75Seasoned Rookie

There is no " non preventable heal".
And yes that is a situation that comes up, I see it quite often.The reason they are locked in at 1% was because HI was there when it triggered the first time.
We can have the same conversation I had with the team not even a week ago. Each simple fix you can think of doesnt actually solve the problem, it just leaves it at an less likely case, but it is still possible.
I see it without heal immunity.
HI causes a problem when UL triggers
Being at the threshold causes the issue when UL is applied to the unit
There is never anything in the game till it is created. They could absolutely make a heal that can't be prevented
Making an unpreventable heal when it is applied and when it triggers would solve both issues.
How do you make an in preventable heal, you just "bug" it and remove the health_recovery tag from the heal.
There was even a bug in the game for a long time where I think it was ig88 HI didn't prevent health recovery. So it technically has already been in the game. - There really isn't a valid excuse for this bug. "It's hard to fix", seriously?

Do you recall how he got to 1 health before UL was applied?
The only way this happens is if you are extremely lucky (unlucky) or HI was involved when it used up the previous UL.
I think it was the very very rare case of hitting the low HP threshold by normal attacks without HI being in place.
