Arena and Ship Shard Dislocation
This is not my first post about this subject but I believe a response from the developers is required to address a major balancing issue between arena and ship shards.
My ship shard is artificially active (https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/discussion/137480/major-issue-in-the-calculation-when-determining-ship-shards-for-july-aug-sept-2016-starts#latest) because of the day I started playing the game and the allocation calculation on the day ships launched. Furthermore, as a result of this shard having a disproportionate number of highly active players, others from the same vintage do not. On my shard chat, several members are on this shard and most have contacted customer support as it typically requires two refreshes and a high percentage win-rate to hit the top five. This is in contrast to those not on this shard who can hit the top spots with less than five battles and are basically guaranteed crystals for little effort. While not strictly game-breaking, this makes ships unbearable for many on this shard and a large number simply gave up after the first few weeks. After the recent changes to rewards the shard has got even worse, to the point where it turns a point of frustration to a real impediment to playing the game.
I would urge the developers to look at the statistics of this shard and either redistribute players or simply to run the same arena and ship shards
