Arena Payout Sniping
Fix arena payout sniping, it is not competitive or fun to be locked out of your payout despite being able to hold the position for the majority of the day uncontested.

I think many of you are missing the point. I can lock people out too, I hold a top 5 spot right now and rarely dip below #2. I have no trouble keeping #1 for my payout with the occasional snipe getting in the way. People are struggling to beat my team (I can tell because I'm unable to attack because I'm engaged and don't lose my spot).
I think the system for Arena ranking is poorly conceived and could be done better and I want to encourage new ideas. It is not competitive or fair. I'm not complaining because I can't get or keep #1, I'm complaining because I don't like it. Even the guy with 91 7* characters who I fight constantly for #1 can't keep it.
Or he can ... ;) good mods made it able to keep #1 without fighting
He's running maxed out Wedge (L), Biggs, Emperor Palpatine, Lando, ST Han (223 speed) at the moment. Unless his Emperor stuns my whole team, I beat him every time.
He switches to all the best teams and mods constantly and I am able to beat him, so no, I don't think anything really works on defense. I don't have to refresh to keep #1 and there are times that I don't even attack at payout time because I cannot and I still take #1.
I'm not sure why you guys are defending the current arena system. I'm all for gaining 400-500 crystals a day, but I would rather have a more competitive system in place.
He just needs to switch to take out Biggs and put in a 230+ speed Poe and then you will lose more often. That team will beat me in 20 seconds if my STH and Palp can't avoid poe's TM and then Palps's stun.
He was running 235 speed Poe and Han ended up being the more difficult of the two.
He isn't doing it right. The only team that is truly tough to beat on defense is Fast Poe, Slightly less fast STH, Lando, EP, and Wedge lead. DPS all crit damage and speed, Tanks all speed and EP Potency+speed.

If #'s 2, 3, and 4 are engaged, you're just out of luck.
Maybe fight 12 minutes prio4, and 7 minutes prior, maybe you catch someone on cooldown

I actually have a guildmate who is being locked out of his top 10 all day because what sounds like a bunch of 12 year olds with their dads credit cards are ruling his top 10 and immediately attacking anyone that enters. A group of people should not be able to lock out the top 10 of a shard all day long.
Arena does need an overhaul but as I said I don't think we will see it anytime soon.

Fortunately for me I have never been sniped. Someone did try once, but I managed to snipe him back right after. I typically make sure I'm at least 2 fights removed near the end of timer so.
