Don't get me wrong, your squad is solid but it's certainly not sitting there because nobody can beat it. I believe Douding is on some sort of Asian time zone, so he just hangs around until he needs to take 1st. There are a few others that just pop into the top 5 to get their crystals. That's generally what I do unless I'm testing out a new team comp or it is arena day.

Anyway... I agree with you that the arena system in this game is tiresome. It requires more luck than skill to get #1 when several people are going after it. However... It doesn't seem like it is high on their list of priorities to change.

Hey, I figured you were in my shard. And I apologize I don't mean to get off on the wrong foot with anyone. I didn't come here to post how I keep #1 uncontested, because that's certainly not the case. Players come here berating my squad and ability to play the game and so I'm saying "hey, it's not that difficult to take and maintain a #1 slot", it really doesn't have much to do with skill, and my frustrations are purely with sniping. It wasn't meant to brag whatsoever. I'm saying if the guy with 91 *7 characters can't hold it, then the squad is really irrelevant to our discussion which is how the ladder is set up for sniping and locking players out.

You have some great teams and have proved a difficult opponent. I certainly don't want a war with anyone in our shard trying to lock the other out, just looking for a more competitive solution to the payout sniping issue.

And another thing I wanted to point out was that I try to save my arena uses for the 3 needed to complete the daily and tend not to waste them outside of that which is why I seem to spring back into place immediately.

You also mentioned Douding, which was obvious to you who I was referring to. I would gladly bow out to you in most cases because of the effort you've put into maintaining top 5.

Why not just use them near the arena payout time and get your dailies all at the same time?

I'm on the same shard as you @Revenant and @MrClean621. just far from being at your level, however (I only really try to go on for top 10 for my payoff, occasionally going below just to make sure I will end up top 10). I cannot really compete with you even if I had to at some time to save my ass of some others that do snipe me too (I admit I do have to use that technique too since that's the only way I can have my payoff). I'm really sorry if I did but most of the time I try to use it to hold up my position. For your info, I am est timezone (-5 GMT). It would be nice if people could sync up so everybody may have his payoff.

Weyl, good to meet you! I definitely am not trying to grief people on their payout time. I've eased up at the top of the hour to allow for more give when it's not my time.

To anyone that is on our shard, please understand that this post wasn't directed at anyone of you, but more simply a frustration with the way this arena system is configured. I think that whoever deserves to be at #1 because of a better team should just be there and that we've all become deluded thinking that we should be at the top. I honestly don't think I should be where I am, other than my commitment to staying at pace with these other players.

Such a whiny thread. That's my fav time of day! I hold out and strategize waiting to steal number 1 in the last few minutes, then pay the 50 crystals (which I will get back in moments) to refresh and lock my self in a fight I let expire as the clock runs out!!! So much fun!
