Could care less about this specific event, honestly... however...
This is the WORST implementation CG has put out yet. I'd be hanging my head in shame if I was part of their dev team.
Here is a compiled list of what I see as either incompetence or just laziness:
The game obviously runs off an entity system. Updates where added to accommodate the bonus tier changes and Tier 1 & 2 were effected as well.
* Tier 1 is now harder than Tier 2 (do you all have a QA team? If so, do they actually do anything? This should have been caught by the devs to begin with, well before it made it to QA)
* If the changes were intended (which would be borderline insanity), your attention to detail is staggering:
-- Tier 1:
-- Recommended Level: 75+
-- Recommended Gear: Tier 8+
-- Tier 2:
-- Recommended Level: 80+
-- Recommended Gear: Tier 9+
* Was ANY thought or time given to game balance and the the target audience of the initial 2 tiers? Whoever is in charge of targeting paying players should just be fired. Which brings you more money? the top 5% who spend ^^ $s? or the 80% that spend moderate $s? This is simple math. To me, it seems you go OUT OF YOUR WAY to alienate your largest revenue source. Un-freaking-believable.
On a positive note, the bonus stage was crazy hard, but appropriate for the intended players.
