Baze suddenly useless?

With all the hype originally around Baze I have been farming him in shipments and have him to five stars. However now with all of these new changes it seems that Baze is no longer the golden child.

I am torn as to whether or not I should spend all my Shard Shop currency bringing him to seven stars when I feel in the end I would much rather be using a Jedi, Bounty Hunter or Empire team in the end?

What is everyone's thoughts on Baze's new place in this crazy new meta that was just introduced today?

    I foresee having my first Zeta upgrade within roughly 2-3 weeks. Place top 5 in Fleet Arena each day and save up the tokens for Zeta Mats and then getting them in the Challenges. Max it will take a month. During that time I should be maxing out the team that I will be utilizing with that first Zeta so I would hate to focus on someone like Baze who I do not foresee being in that lineup.

    boba rework makes your point sooner than 3 months. but he rebuffs and the question will be on how the ai targets him. boba is still slow so other toons will go first and have to target him. the question will be if wiggs can come close to killing him w/ a one shot to start, boba looses the ability to ignore taunt. either way, he does his job in forcing you to target baze instead of a dps toon.

    I hope hes useless now. Best dispeller in the game with an auto taunt? No toon should have that kind of skill set..

    Fun Sac, Shore, now Baze.... you think they'd allow that trend to continue? They do it all the time, suck people into some stupidly overpowered then add a hard counter.
