  • We're using Discord. I don't know Line. You can make several chat rooms for everything you want, put some roles on users, etc.

I've used Line for years for my mobile gaming. My current Guild also uses it. In my opinion the usability is simple and easy. However, I could be bias because I've used it for years now.

My shard chat uses Discord. Which seems to be okay; however I'm not really a fan of it.

how did u create a chat w ur shard?
  • We originally used Line for the first 6 months of guilds and decided to switch to discord as it was more organized and deigned directly for gaming.
  • Discord for both, guild and shard.
Easy, multiplatform, multiple channels, some of them are therefore used as "notice board" for e.g.raid rules, payout times.
For shard you promote somehow your shard group/shard ID and just share invite link to ppl wanting to join.
  • Discord is imo way better than Line
Easy to use from start and if you use a little time as admin to learn it, Line starts looking like a kiddie chat
  • Have used Line in the past, but it's no comparison to Discord. Using that now for both Guild and Arena chat.
  • Discord and Line seem to be the most popular. I have used both, and think Discord is much better, since it allows you to easily create various channels and roles. Line is basically iMessage, so you have to create a different group message for each thing.
