Biggs Ship Bug Help

I watched that YouTube video too, but I have to say that I have yet to see it firsthand. I run Biggs and with my two tie fighters and Boba, I spread a fair amount of TL. He is at full protection when the first one is applied, so no benefit, and by the time another one gets put on(Boba is so slow as a ship yet fast as a toon), he has been pummeled by the opponent and almost dead. I win a good amount of my ship battles(usually stay in the top twenty) and Biggs doesn't figure into my victories that much.
On the flip side, my Biggs is only G8(I never used Wiggs in area) and most on my shard have G9 Biggs or above so theirs lasts long enough to get more protection back than mine. It's a mild annoyance, but Ashoka can deal with it fine. As long as I eliminate an enemy ship every other round, they reinforce and Ashoka clears it again. I run SunFac as my fifth to help protect Ashoka. I bring in JC first and use his assist attack with her assisting to further her survival. I don't always win, but this strategy has served me well. I want the Schimitar and Fives' ship, but I don't have DM even unlocked yet and I'm trying like crazy to get the 8 five star ships for the zeta challenge. I just turned level 78 and at 4 shards a pop it is taking forever.
