- MagruffinNew TravelerThey should've just named this show Mando s2.5

Loved seeing the jedi crew and getting caught up on grogu's training. I was wondering how much they were going to touch on this.
Mfing Cad Bane?! Nice little surprise.
I really enjoyed this episode (and last weeks), but I wonder how much of the first 3 or 4 eps were really needed...this show only seems to be a success when it's bringing back mando stuff.
Solid episode, but again, it feels like the Boba story points only exist to bring in fan favorite hunters and little else to the table. - What i went to know witch one does the little guy choose

Pretty sure he'll go with the armor
I'm surprised Luke is continuing the tradition of no attachments - MagruffinNew Traveler

Yeah, that was one of those rules that directly led to the creation of Vader; you'd think Luke would want to launch a "better" way of the Jedi instead of sticking to tradition. After all, it was Luke's attachement to his friends that caused him to cut his training short w Yoda and help destroy the second death star in RotJ. Didn't seem to negatively affect him? - Sequel Trilogy spoiler here. Luke doesn’t do a very good job of remaking the Jedi.
Really want to see Grogu in the armor with the lightsaber. Stupid Luke. "Magruffin;c-2333469" wrote:

I think he is trying to head off that possibility by making it an all-or-none choice. If he chooses the armor, he likely won't turn to the Dark Side because of Mando and if he chooses the lightsaber, Luke will work with him to curb the attachment.
Plus if he chooses the armor, we know he will survive Kylo Ren's purge two decades hence.- I'm just going to say it, I don't like it. Luke already learned the old Jedi were wrong and forbidding attachment was wrong. Why is this Luke an old dogmatic jedi?
And we now have 3 sources saying 3 different people were Luke's first student, TFA said it was Ben, ROS said it was Leia, BOBF it's Grogu - Loved seeing Cad Bane, but his coloring seemed a bit off. Also, the voice was close but was missing a quality that the animated version had.
- I still don't like how they did Luke. Instead of going with the Legends path where Luke created a slightly altered creed that did allow attachments, they decided to connect it to the sequels where Luke fucked up big time. This was a good opportunity to create a positive difference and branch off from the sequels, and they decided not to.
That said, I love this episode, and I personally don't mind that Boba Fett hasn't been around the last 2 episodes. Yes, he is meant to be the main character, but that doesn't necessetate that he has to absolutely appear every single episode and be the main focus. Is it unusual? Yes. But it's not an iron rule.
Cad Bane was a surprise, but a welcome one. Given they had to adapt his facial structure for a real human actor, I try not to be bothered by how chubby his face looks, but it is just a bit uncanny when you are completely used to the animated cad bane. But damn, they absolutely nailed the voice and how fast he is with drawing.
Cobb Vanth is probably alive. I re-watched the footage and Cobb got shot into the upper right shoulder, right above the collarbone. This is extremely rarely a killing shot even for star wars, and it would only be a kill if it caused complications with the vein at the neck.
Last but not least, I think this build up has considerable relevance for the future. It does currently seem to look like the series is just to promote future projects, and if it is, I don't really mind.
The one thing I want for Episode 7 tho is prolonged scenes with Krrsantan going full Black Air Force on enemies. - NotRealUltraSeasoned NewcomerI'm starting to think maybe in the next episode Luke will be all "attachments are fine i was just testing to see what you would choose given the choice between mando / jedi" or something
at least i hope so
if not, it will kill any chances of Luke having his own family in some other planet off-world sometime between now and TLJ
