- Magruffin4 years agoSeasoned AceLots of flashbacks still, hopefully this will be the last episode that deals with them as it seems wrapped up and we'll finally get to deal with the current storyline.
Felt that the revenge strafe on the speeder bike gang was short changed, took far to little screen time for something that should have been far more emotional for Boba.
Lots hate for this show; not sure why. The mods and vespas are just throw backs to the actual mods in England back in the day.
Gotta love that some colors show up on some speeder bikes and the grumpy boy fanbase flips a lid (who are a small minority of fans, but very vocal). - HokieChuck8884 years agoRising AceSeemed like yet another meh episode. I liked that Krrsantan is now part of the crew. That one was easy to predict. The modding stuff, like the Vespa gang, still feels out of place. Got a chuckle out of the nod to Grievous with the chef droid.
Maybe things will pick up now. Seems headed that way. BoBF isn't their strongest work so far for sure but hey it's SW and I'll eat it up every week. I liked the Tusken stuff they did. The Hutts, Pykes and other underworld elements being involved is cool. - TwstdByDsn4 years agoSeasoned AceA much better episode. RR needs to be banned rom directing any more.
- templarphoenix4 years agoSeasoned AceFinally we know why he needs a bacta tank.
- Why did Boba think his armor was left in the sarlac? Did he forget he was wearing it when he escaped? Or did the Jawas knocking him out cold conveniently give him amnesia about that specific detail.
Count Dooku having trained Jabbas kitchen droid in the jedi arts was fun, but overall it was a pretty slow episode once again.
The bar owner lady propping BK up as a gladiator champion felt like the show trying to save him some face after him embarrasing loss last episode, and Boba threatening the mob bosses with his rancor kinda felt like it went against his whole "rule with respect" thing but oh well.
While it definitely wasnt as bad as last episode, with only 3 episodes left they better be amazing to justify the rather lackluster first half. - Boba going back to the sarlacc pit was just... A bit unlogical, but okay.
Fennec telling Boba that he got soft was one of the few truths this show has put out so far.
I'll keep watching it though, because Star Wars. - I enjoyed this one. Did it ever say how long he was in the sarlak pit?
- Calgacus664 years agoSeasoned AceI liked it too. But it’s not the Sopranos so I think people should stop looking for a crime saga logic in it. It’s about the motherless child finding his family among a fantastic assortment of outsiders, magical beasts and oddballs - much more akin to a classic Edwardian children’s adventure than anything.
But I agree the Sarlacc pit scene was redundant- she’s done her bit already - At least we got some insight into Boba's motivations. I can buy that he wants to leave the bounty hunter life behind. But, he's doing it to start a war with a gang syndicate, so kind of counter intuitive. If he has "plenty of credits" why not go enjoy retirement?
Granted, Boba Fett: The Golden Years is likely way less interesting. Unless it were done as a Golden Girls-esque sitcom. - Nothing really to complain about in this episode without being overly nit picky. It was enjoyable. I do wish they’d make up their mind as to whether his armor is Beskar or not. It does not seem like it should be.
