Calendar

There used to be an event calendar and something called “The Road Ahead” where they’d discuss big picture stuff and the direction the game was headed but the last couple of years they don’t bother with communication at all.  If you’re lucky you might catch a community manager on discord to ask a question which more than likely won’t get an answer.  I’m wondering if the game is going to be shut down after the sale is completed and they’ll start over with something new or if they’re just going to lose the license for Star Wars altogether.  They certainly don’t act like a company that’s interested in retaining their players.

I can understand your frustration. This is the only game I’ve played that has zero communication with its players/customers. Most have a weekly blog or whatever saying what is happening next week and highlight important things like big events or there’s a bug in a certain game mode and they describe what the problem is and how long it takes to fix and expect compensation for your inconvenience.   At SWGOH it’s a guessing game for when a legendary characters event might return and we might get a vague description from the community manager about a problem something like “there’s a problem with something and the team is aware”.  So they are either to lazy to actually explain said problem or they just don’t care. 

And how would CG drive FOMO sales?  They currently make millions off this game as is.  Why would they change to give players something useful and definitive.  If they publish it, they’d be held to it.  Now they can just do what they please and keep as many people paying with zero info given.
