Can a GOH account transfer to a new device?

Yes, but you have to be connected to the GameCenter account on the devise and use that on the new device

If you are not on GameCenter on that device yet, login and make sure the two are connected. That should be it - anyone have more to add?

Thanks for the help. Dumb question, but how can I get connected to the Game Center if I haven't been previously?

^^^^ This. When I moved from an iPhone 6 to a iPhone 7 all that was needed was the game center account and the game to be linked up to it.

Yeah. As long as you have been logged in to Apple ID and Apple Game Center while you played SWGOH, then all of your progress is saved online. Just login to your Apple ID and Game Center accounts on your new iPad, and you'll be able to pick up where you left off (might need to go through a few minutes of tutorial blah-blah-blah when you first start the game, before it'll login to Game Center).

Log into your game centre account, and load the game. It will ask if you want to tie the local save to the account, so click yes.
